Looking forward to the future
I’m looking forward to future.
A man has to be a excited about the future, otherwise, what is there?
Some of the best parts of life are looking forward to something rather than actually having the thing.
The whole year, my family and I look forward to getting together and spending time on the island.
Now I’m here, now we’re on the island the looking forward goes away. It’s right here. We’ve got it.
Now I’ve got the thing I’m already thinking about the next.
The same goes for writing. You’ll end a good session and all you can think about is what’s going to come out next.
The thrill of it keeps you going. That’s the whole thing. Not knowing. The fun part. Some spend their whole lives trying to figure out what’s going to come next. I feel less alive knowing what’s going to happen next.
As much I love anticipating getting to the island and spending time with my family every year. I also love anticipating the things which aren’t planned in advance.
What challenge do I get to take on this time?
What’s the next adventure?
I have no idea.
And I’m excited for it.
